Kim Robert Stafford is an American poet and essayist who lives in Portland, Oregon Stafford received a B.A in 1971, an M.A in English in 1973 and a Ph.D in medieval literature in 1979 from the University of Oregon Since 1979, he has taught writing at Lewis Clark College in Portland He has also taught courses at Willamette University in Salem, at the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology, at
